As modernity ushers into human world, life has seen changes connoting to changing definations of personal, new forms of relationship, creation of remixed society - whereby associations and even the family is no longer based on neighbours and parents. A new age of Love has flowered in our Mental World- Love of an organism to attribute is old but Love of a human to many many attributes is new.
Notice the world as a lover. People have started loving institutions more than individuals, Lifestyle more than a life, Characters of a being more than the being with a character, devouring new subtleties rather a homely association. Its the multifaceted growth of human one sees - complex yet endless choices. Hence no single human fills all.
So where does Worship fit in!
Worship is the feeling or expression of reverence or adoration (for a deity). Though for a deity is perceived as idol or supernotion of god or conceived picture, but is it so! A Deity from ancient times is the source of power or the brim of Reason. A Deity is also the giver of happiness for the social animal 'human' who offers its Gratitude.
Now, look at modern times. Who is the giver of happiness! Where is the brim of Reason! Who is the source of Power!
Some will say Science but that's hardly an answer - Not all of us are into science, we just devour the fruits of scientific effort in commercial sector. The answer is age-old. In ancient times, whatever was Huge-Enduring-Lifesaving-Beautiful-Juggernaut came to be considered as worthy of worship. Later, when human senses and understanding grew, humans began worshiping objects or signs of good luck better yet simplistic science and math expressions grew mysterious and occupied our minds.
As medieval periods were upon, Humans discovered they are most mysterious and worthy of believing and serving yet in conjunction with old-gods. Hence arrived unending Myths of 'Celesta'. And from 'Celesta' came 'Messengers'. As benefits of power and following came to be observed the educated god-men cult was used widely to form major Religions around the world and with Power as sole reason - We saw Abrahamic religions flourish across unusual portions of Earth.
As modernity ushers, the cult of following is a dying phenomena in major centers of world. Human has grown too important to self - 'An Enigma in itself" . Though there is Spiritual Theories taking place of medieval guide-books as expected, its reason has been same to human from time immemorial.
Human has remained in an unending search for self-exploration. Means can be spiritual-materialistic-scientific-belief ,etc. Though, in each era the change in human lives is a significant factor in determining change. The Benefits of Modern Era Industrialization and Science has actually started radical changes in Human lives in present time. Digital Science not only resulted in Services which short-circuited Human workload, today human is finding constant quality time for his/her Social side- Human has started building itself as a conscious set of attributes- so diverse, detailed and conscious.
This is what has changed. Sophistication in systems and works is better business but Sophistication in Individual-Life is Godly. Humans are turning self-conscious and self-indulging like never before.
'There are always Two Aspects in Devotion- FEAR & ADMIRE'
For the first time in an unexplained(hence godly) way, ADMIRE has overtaken FEAR by leaps and bounds. Humanity has reached a stage where the 'SELF' is so important than Unmitigated fear from anything else....
Hence, We have started worshiping attributes in Nature much beyond Visual Poetry rather something Unexplored yet and GODLY.
