SEWAGE WORKERS IN INDIA- LOT TO DO FOR THEM

I write this with a specific context-
For 3 days the sewage line in saket, delhi was choked. A small regular problem and awful smell with a road flooded with human awe's of morning.
There were 3 men from Delhi sewage workers I presume, who were working tirelessly in an effort for 3 days to clear the line. This is about them, their conditions of work and their social nature.
Whatever I have seen one among them got into the sewage point in a underwear huffing and puffing barely keeping the drain water below mouth & doing his stuff in there for half an hour or so. Do u imagine barebody man in a 50 cm dia manhole with all the stinks of 100+ families flowing in!!! Seeing will be worth convincing to do something for him.

Above link is a bare all article and details some of these safai karmacharis lives and a video.
One thing I wonder is a cleaner gets RS 9000 regularised job after absolutely compulsory bribing of around 1 lakh - keeps bribing for medicines, keeps happing for promotion paying whatever he saves off his paltry salary. Can u believe Indians - it is same for years and still not changed, they are the poorest men bribing their way out But fate isn't so blessing after all.

Plzz follow the above article to find social conditions of safaiworkers in India- a wonderful piece. Most people won't know a thing of what these people basically poorest or majority dalits get into once they pick up this job:
People won't let them drink water with respect offering water in old mugs or worn out bottles.
People don't hesitate to distance away when he is near and often keep hands on noses as if they stink always.
Social acceptability is so low that these people seldom have friends outer than the lowest class, often have find difficult to graduate to levels where man is not looked upon as untouchable...Though majority of people have a gud behaviour but there is always some in family or some in the road to give a look awful for a person to feel for himself. We need to end this
WE SERIOUSLY NEED TO END THE WAY IN WHICH THE LOWEST CLASSES AND CASTES BLEND IN AND MAKE ANOTHER URBAN SECTION OF PEOPLE BEREFT OF OUR RESPECTS WHICH THEY MOST DESERVE .
I remember in my college days the whole Street was bleeding with human faces and drain water with a smell so irritating that u shall get seek in hours . And I remember my friend who shouted chiii with expressions of anger @ the 2 drainmen cleaning up. One of them eventually asked him why such a face !
This is not distinction God crwated, but this is just lack of awareness, overlaps of education- planners & unwanted luxury of society which has learnt to pay for cleaning their every shit.
Dear friends, lets put some efforts into reaching out , Dear Govt. Let's give them modern solutions and root out corruption from these people, Dear Indians Lets check if we are just replacing Caste with Class because basically it all started in history with equality as vernas but u see the corrosion it has done.. Let's learn from the mistake of our forefathers and uplift these poor people who work hard -
Provide them body covers of polythene, sanitary gloves, medicine free of cost at all stores, and proper infusion into social events for a start.
Wouldn't cost a fraction !!!
Jai Hind!!!

RECKONING WITH THE NATIONAL IDEA

Recently, u must have witnessed the incidents @ JNU & Jadavpur rocking through arnab's debate show and reverbating in our ears.  well here i just want to write how a common Indian would perceive all these happenings. for a common mayn't have tym to get into hefty discussions or even read the confusing indepth veiws of experts. for starters it came as a shock for me to hear that Afzal guru's hanging is a judicial killing. He continues to be a matyr to the self-proclaimed oppressed people of kashmir, but since when he crept his roots into indian mainstream education as a classic example of judicial murder. I was angry so were most but without knowledge of the events which led to such vociferous protests - I AM CONFUSED. lets put Kashmir where it is for today, there were Anti-India and Tear-apart...

THE INDO-PAK SERIES

4/13/2017 Jeerwah, Kashmir “A perfect sunny day” thought captain sandeep as he yawned his sleep out. The warming sun is always a delight among the living in the chilly heaven on earth. It was a polling day - a bye election & captain along with his 30 men were to protect and assist 12 men and 3 women officers of election commision with the process. The captain was watching birds chirp in the orchards dotting the valley when a nearby mosque submitted to Azaan. Allah hu Ak’bar ….. “Sasyakaal Sirji, the civilian officers have set up the campus” hawaldar Rampal “Good we should expect heavy polling today. Afterall shiekh has been roaring against AFSPA” Rampal nods. A fear clearly reflects his thoughts. “ Don’t worry, they all do it for money. If we remove AFSPA, Shiekh will be running to delhi.” The captain signalled to get ready and left for an inspection of local mood. Kashmir is a complex place today. Locals smile and greet ‘salaam walaikum’ even to soldiers...

Dear Right-wingers!

I write to you as a common citizen observing certain disturbing traits among Right's common discussion today in India. Dear fellows, In the learning of History we have come across Islamic Hordes - Conquests of Sultans - Mughal rule - British Imperialism - cowardice of some Indian rulers - inefficiency of our systems - Injustice of Caste System on our own people, haven't we? No doubt, its a shameful blot on our civilization history. ITS A BLOT and there is no denying the fact. But its a fact.  Should we be Shameful? Only if we are yet incapable to prevent repeat of these discrepancies. And nothing else. I think we have been rising rightfully ever since we have tried to consolidate the Indian in us.  Its not the Culture-Arts-Literature infusion which negatively affects our history and we should be logically clear of it. There is nothing called Indian Purity. Indian Culture has spread, educated and made humane most cultures around the world in a way which is neither mea...
